Students visiting a Houston aerospace institution

A week of hands-on science challenges, in the city that runs American spaceflight.

Hands-on engineering, robotics, physics, and life sciences, with a guided learning tour of NASA Johnson Space Center, cultural activities, and real conversations with aerospace industry leaders.

What the week looks like

Students spend the week learning by doing: robotics, coding, designing and building a rocket, science experiments, and team challenges.

Learning also happens beyond the classroom, with a guided learning tour of NASA Johnson Space Center, visits to aerospace companies, conversations with industry leaders, and cultural activities around Houston.

Activities are scheduled across the week based on availability and confirmed with your school before departure. Weekend experiences may also be added if your dates allow.

Students arrive as a school group. They leave with a better understanding of how STEM works in the real world, and a clearer sense of whether they can see themselves pursuing a career in it.

Who it is for

Students aged 11 to 18, in two separate tracks: ages 11–14 and ages 15–18. Students join the track that matches their age, either as a school group or as individual participants in a scheduled cohort.

No prior STEM experience is needed. The program is designed for students already interested in engineering or science, as well as those still exploring what they might want to pursue.

Group programs start at 10 students. Schools provide chaperones at a ratio of at least one chaperone for every ten students. Chaperones receive a program briefing before departure.

Bookings are open to schools, community organizations, educational consultants, and families. All participants must fall within the applicable age range.
